I’m working on some creative magical thinking to dazzle my clients with in this otherwise lacklustre housing market we seem to be in. As all caring and experienced Realtors know, there’s a lot of pressure baked into real estate that doesn’t need to be there. Buying or selling a home is a big decision, and my job isn’t to rush anyone through it — it’s to help them make the right move with confidence.
Here are a few things I genuinely don’t care about as your realtor:
I don’t care if you change your mind. That’s part of the process. Clarity comes from seeing options, not forcing decisions.
I don’t care if you’re nervous. You should be. This matters, and it’s normal to feel that weight.
I don’t care how many homes we look at. We stop when it’s right — not when it’s convenient.
I don’t care what AI or the algorithms say it’s worth. The market decides. Not an algorithm.
And I don’t care if your house is messy. I’m not judging your life — I’m evaluating the property.
Real estate works best when there’s room to think, ask questions, and move at a pace that actually makes sense for you.
Everything else I DO care about because at the end of the day, people don’t care what you know, until they know that you care.
